Promoting Patriotism for United States of America

Patriotism is having and demonstrating an intense love for one's country

  • While being patriotic refers to the citizen's devotion to his or her nation and not specifically to his or her neighbors, it should be obvious that to effectively promote nationalism each individual must also support, respect, and trust the people around him or her. As it is with a champion sports team, the players must be unified. It is not necessary for each teammate to demonstrate the absolute self-sacrificing loyalty to each and every other member, although that would be ideal. Rather each teammate must (at least) put aside the less significant personal difference of opinions to accomplish the more important (hopefully mutual) goal of winning.

  • The U of USA is an abbreviation of "UNITED." Multiple things cannot be effectively stuck together without some agent of bonding. It may be magnetic, ionic, a fastener, glue, an agreed upon creed, or an ideal goal. It has to be something to which both entities adhere or value.

  • It is my opinion that patriotism is an intrinsic ingredient to self-preservation that gives each nation their most important identity. And because castle walls have long become ineffective, the most notable defense must begin with the military. The armed forces must defend their citizens from foreign invasion or threats to their commerce. These soldiers of the Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard, Navy, Space Force) must maintain battle readiness for whatever approach the enemy may attack. However, the need for first responders to be ready for homeland crises is just as important. Our police, fire fighters, emergency medical personnel, medics, and power suppliers are always on standby for internal attacks from unexpected tragedies. Veterans of each of these dedicated groups deserve the utmost respect and support. To deny them in any way is to disgrace the entire group, which would be most unacceptable to any sane and intelligent citizen.

  • In my opinion the Constitution is the most important historical document since the canonizing of the Bible. The forefathers of the USA intensely labored to formally document the common "glue" of unity in their mind. They hoped to develop or at least create an environment that would encourage the development of a society that consisted of citizens who would mutually respect each the other's personal choices while together protecting the nation's autonomy and sovereignty in relation to the rest of the world powers. For a populace to apathetically endure "citizens" that dare to disrespect the Constitution of the United States would be suicidal in spirit. There must be a decisive (legal) action to any and all persons who would be so foolish as to engage themselves and others in the despicable act of treasonously attacking the Constitution of the United States of America.

  • Probably the most difficult task for anyone is to attempt is to control masses of people. Even the Bible is full of examples of God's frustration with His people's corporate choices. The colonial settlers were very devout Christians. Hence the Puritans held "having a strong work ethic" in very high regard (as well as "prudence" and "self-control"). A slacker could (and a few fools did) suffer persecution for laziness or carelessness. The promotion of this work ethic was not only motivated by Biblical teaching, but also by the need to survive the harshness of the previously untamed land. Unfortunately, local merchants and foreign entrepreneurs also recognized the opportunity for profit and worked toward that end without regard for his fellow man or the future consequences set into motion, hence their temptation to utilize slave labor. To become and remain competitive, others also were to forced to compromise their preferences and better judgment by doing the same. This is a scar in America's history that took too many years and lost innumerable lives to correct.

  • There will always be strife between any two or more people of various demographics, but each is accountable to God for how he or she handles that. I pray that in spite of the powerful enemies in the shadows who are bribing and blackmailing traitors to manipulate us, the Christian faithful will keep their trust in God's divine providence and endure with dignity and devotion until (hopefully soon) this struggle is resolved.
