There are several ways to read the Bible text where the Scriptural contents (as much as is possible) are presented in the order of a chronological time line.
To read the entire Bible straight through only takes about 70 hours, but who has got the time and stamina to do that in one sitting?
My summaries take about two minutes to read, but the complete daily portions only take the average reader about fifteen minutes to read.
My purpose for publishing a daily two minute Bible reading summary is:
1) To encourage born-again worshipers of Jesus to allow the Holy Spirit of God to sanctify them and to continuously develop an ever closer relationship with God. *
2) To interest readers to take the time to read the whole passage for themselves,
3) To help some that have fallen behind in their Bible reading or are starting late to be able to catch up,
4) To help the reader's comprehension of the passage, and
5) To motivate me to remain active in my own personal Bible studying.

* Salvation comes before sanctification.
To become a "born-again" worshiper of Jesus (also called being "saved" from eternal damnation) a person must first be called by God. A person will know he/she is being called when he/she senses a deep desire in his/her soul to be right with God. Sinners are not naturally drawn to God on their own. In fact, a sinner, by nature will always run as hard as he or she can to get away from God.
To be "saved" means that a soul calls on the mercy of God for salvation, knowing that he or she could never be good enough, sacrifice enough, or pay enough to be saved.
Receiving Jesus' salvation is a miraculous simultaneous process of:
-a sinner's admission of total wretchedness,
-the inability to save himself or herself,
-his or her need for a merciful Savior,
-his or her recognition and declaration that Jesus is the Son of God who became the sacrifice to redeem all who would believe,
-repentance of his or her sinful ways, and
-his or her making a conscientious yielding of his or her will to His control for life.
There is no exact prayer required for salvation. Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved. However, a model prayer for salvation could be something like this:
"Father in heaven, I admit that I am a sinner. I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God that came to earth, lived a sinless life, and suffered a sacrificial death to pay for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead on the third day, that He ascended to heaven and is sitting at Your right hand. Upon this confession, I ask You to please forgive me of all my sins and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, amen."
Following this step the Holy Spirit will begin a sanctification process of changing you with the ultimate goal being to make you Christlike. This process will not end until you arrive in heaven.

I do believe that the Holy Spirit inspired over forty writers to compose the sixty-six books contained in the Bible in a period stretching over one thousand, four hundred years. I am not surprised, but I am amazed at how well they are all in agreement. I believe that the original documents are inerrant and the theology of Bible is infallible. I adhere to the literal, grammatical-historical interpretation of Scripture. My belief system can be described as fundamental, conservative, evangelical Christianity. I have enjoyed being a "born-again" Christian since about 1972.
